Logan was in the Lions Track and Field Meet this weekend.  

He was scheduled to run at 7:00 with the under 13 team.  However, we were there early and the under 11 team was short a runner so Logan was asked to run with them.  He runs his heart out all the time and so he said no problem.  

Then his under 13 team ran.  They were second in their heat.  Their time made them sort of on the fence for whether they would make semi finals or not.  We had to wait forever for them to post the results - there were 21 heats!!  While we waited we watched the under 13 girls and then the under 15 girls.  When it was time for the under 15 boys to run one of the boys was not there.   Logan thought he was in trouble because the coach was looking for him.  Turns out that the coach wanted Logan to run with the Grade 8 boys team - and the fastest team the school has.

Logan was stoked.  He was also scared.  He ran his heart out.  This is a photo from that race.  They won a chance to run in the semi finals on Saturday.  I am posting this on Saturday so I can tell you - they made it through semi finals and ran in the finals.  They came in 6th place over all.  There were over 86 teams in this division!!

Logan's 12th Birthday Party was this weekend. We went glow bowling. His cake was blue (in case you could not tell)- it was a Vancouver Canucks Cake.
